Seems you have quoted my review of the TRL Dude and boy was I surprised to see this site and my comments today. No problem and good fun.


Paul of TRL has built me a new Dude with several important improvements and the price is still under $5000. I now have 2 6sn7's per side instead of one, much more capacitance, larger transformer, Dueland coupling caps that I put in, Paul designed and Shallco built 45 step top quality volume control and some other nice touches.

The new Dudes have put on some weight coming in at around 75 pounds! Yes, it sounds even better then my old Dude. It's like the Dude has been working out in the gym.

I bet that Statement pre is something as it also caught my eye when it was introduced. As for which one is better? Impossile to say until we compare both.

I am in Minnesota as an FYI.

I will take some time and go through your site today.
